Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 4 seed, won against Italian Lucrezia Stefanini 6-2, 6-2 to reach the last four of the San Luis Potosi Open at the Club Deportivo Potosino on Saturday night.
Podoroska, ranked No 78, will face Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the second seed, next.
The Argentinian beat American Mccartney Kessler (7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3) and Canadian wildcard Marina Stakusic (6-1, 7-6 (5)) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the San Luis Potosi tournament, Stefanini, ranked No 153, won against Serb Natalija Stevanovic (6-4, 6-4) and Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 5 seed (5-0 ret.).
