No rest for Kyrgios, who books spot in second round and meets Medvedev next !
Nick Kyrgios beat Sebastian Baez in straight sets at the Montreal Masters on Tuesday. It will be Kyrgios vs. Daniil Medvedev in the next round.

Australian Nick Kyrgios advanced to the second round of the Montreal Masters by winning against Argentinian Sebastian Baez 6-4, 6-4 at Stade IGA on Tuesday. Kyrgios will meet Daniil Medvedev, seed number one, in the most expected clash of the draw. Medvedev won at Los Cabos last week-end while Kyrgios won at Washington.
Notable fact : Kyrgios was broken for the fist time since Wimbledon final. He lead 5-2 with two breaks in the first set when his lost a service game.
“Medvedev is coming from a title too and he is the No 1 in the world” Kyrgios said. “It’s not like the rankings mean too much as the guy I played today is ranked ahead of me. But Medvedev is a machine.”
