“My elbow is perfect” Tsitsipas aims higher after successful surgery

Stefanos Tsitsipas has reassured his fans that his elbow feels fine after undergoing surgery on the same last month. The 23-year-old was went under the knife on his elbow after struggling with it for some time.
The elbow injury forced him to withdraw from his opening match at the Paris Masters and from the season-ending ATP Finals after going down to Andrey Rublev in his round-robin opener.
In an interview to the TV channel ANT1, Tsitsipas said, “My elbow is fantastic, perfect. I am sure I will be back to 100%. The goal is to go even higher next season. I hope my preparation goes well and that next season is 3-4 times better than the last one”.
Tsitsipas to begin 2022 season at the ATP Cup
Tsitsipas is slated to begin his 2022 season representing his country at the ATP Cup, which begins on January 1 in Sydney, Australia.
The Greek player will be aiming to improve on his solid 2021 seaosn during which he reached his first Grand Slam final at Roland-Garros, going down to Novak Djokovic in five sets. He also picked up two titles Monte-Carlo and Lyon, reached the finals in Acapulco, Barcelona and the semi-finals at the Australian Open, Toronto, Cincinnati and Rotterdam.
With a 55-19 record for the season, Tsitsipas finished 2021 ranked fourth in the world, behind Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev.
