Pablo Carreno Busta edged out Albert Ramos Vinolas 4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5 on Wednesday and will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 3 seed, and Swede wildcard Elias Ymer in the next round
No 5 seed Pablo Carreno Busta reached the quarter-finals of the Nordea Open by edging out Albert Ramos Vinolas 4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5 at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Wednesday.
Carreno Busta, ranked No 18, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 3 seed, and Swede wildcard Elias Ymer next.
Pablo Carreno Busta won against Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka (7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the Bastad.
During the first round of the Bastad, Ramos Vinolas, ranked No 38, defeated Argentinian qualifier Tomas Martin Etcheverry (6-3, 6-3).
