Serb Laslo Djere, the No 4 seed, reached the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by winning against Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta 6-3, 6-3 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday evening.

Djere, ranked No 34, will face the winner of the match between American wildcard Alex Michelsen and Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 15 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament, Acosta, ranked No 93, edged out Frenchman Quentin Halys (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).
