US Open: Berrettini has easy ride to the second round

Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 13 seed, reached the second round of the US Open by defeating Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday.

Berrettini, ranked No 14, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry and French lucky loser Hugo Grenier next.
