Nick “King” Kyrgios is back in UTS action when the 2025 UTS Tour rolls around to Hong Kong.

The Australian will be part of the roster for the event that runs from 14 to 15 October – joining a field that already includes Andrey “Rublo” Rublev, Andrey “Rublo” Rublev, “The Night Watchman” Zhang Zhizhen and “The Demon” Alex de Minaur, with further tennis superstars to be announced.

“I’m super excited about being part of UTS Hong Kong,” says Kyrgios.

“UTS is such a blast to play in. It’s pretty wild for us and for the fans and I love it.

“I’m also really proud of my Malaysian heritage and I’ve always loved playing in Asia so be able to play UTS in a great city like Hong Kong is going to be really, really special.”

After suffering with injury, Kyrgios has played five matches on the ATP Tour in 2025, including an appearance at the Australian Open.

Kyrgios back after his UTS New York appearance

Kyrgios returns to UTS after reaching the semi-finals in New York last year. He and the rest of the field will be playing for a prize money pot of US$1.1 million, with the winner taking home at least US$306,000.

UTS promises tennis like never before with fast and furious rules and a family-friendly format designed to entertain, engage and encourage eye-catching tennis. Matches are split into eight-minute quarters which can end in thrilling sudden death points, with players permitted only one serve throughout, and equipped with bonus cards they can play at pivotal moments during the match. Crowds can move around the arena throughout and are entertained with a DJ and can hear from the players thanks to interviews between the quarters.

As well as two days of UTS matches, the competitors will also take part in the UTS Hong Kong Tennis Clinics on Monday 13 October, where children of all ages will try out the sport and get the chance to watch the professionals showcase their incredible skills with intensive competitive drills in the unique UTS All Star Game.
