Charleston Open: Kenin upsets 14th seed Kalinskaya to reach semi-finals
Kenin will face No 8 seed Amanda Anisimova for a spot in the final

American Sofia Kenin won against Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 14 seed, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the last four of the Charleston Open at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Friday.
Kenin, ranked No 44, will play No 8 seed and fellow American Amanda Anisimova next.
Ahead of her win today, Kenin had defeated Bernarda Pera (6-3, 6-4), Swiss Belinda Bencic, the No 17 seed (6-0, 6-3) and Australian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed (6-3, 7-6 (7)).
Kalinskaya, ranked No 33, beat American qualifier Catherine McNally (6-1, 6-4) and American Madison Keys, the second seed (6-2, 6-4) earlier in the week.
