WTA Dubai: Cirstea beats Parks to move into last 16
The Romanian will play the winner of the match between Swiss Belinda Bencic and American Emma Navarro, the No 8 seed, in the next round

Romanian wildcard Sorana Cirstea advanced to the last 16 of the Dubai Open by winning against American qualifier Alycia Parks 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Cirstea, ranked No 89, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Belinda Bencic and American Emma Navarro, the No 8 seed, next.
The 34-year-old Romanian, who reached the semi-finals here last year, defeated Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 10 seed (6-1, 6-4) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Parks, ranked No 74, beat Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-3, 6-3).
