Monastir Open: Kudermetova books spot in last eight
Veronika Kudermetova defeated Magdalena Frech 6-3, 6-4 on Thursday and will play Frenchwoman Diane Parry in the next round
Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the second seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Monastir Open by beating Pole Magdalena Frech 6-3, 6-4 at the Monastir Tennis Club on Thursday.
Kudermetova, ranked No 12, will play Frenchwoman Diane Parry next.
The Russian won against Varvara Gracheva (6-1, 6-0) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Jasmin Open Tunisia, Frech, ranked No 120, won against French wildcard Yasmine Mansouri (6-3, 6-2).
