Iga Swiatek remained on top of the WTA rankings, increasing her lead over second ranked Aryna Sabalenka after winning the Warsaw Open in her native Poland. This marks the 70th week as world No 1 for Swiatek, who has held the top ranking since she ascended to the top spot on April 4, 2022.

With the title, her fourth of the 2023 season, Swiatek now holds a 645-point lead over Sabalenka, who is followed by Elena Rybakina at No. 3, Jessica Pegula at No 4, Ons Jabeur, up one spot to No 5, Caroline Garcia down one spot to No 6, Coco Gauff at No 7, Petra Kvitova at No 8, Maria Sakkari at No 9, and Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova at No 10.

Elsewhere in the top 20, French Open runner-up Karolina Muchova climbs one spot to No 17, swapping places with Liudmila Samsonova.

There were big moves for the other two titlists on tour from last week.
