Raducanu among the first wild cards for Miami Open
Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and Kei Nishikori also received wild cards for the tournament
The Miami Open – a Masters tournament on both tours – starts in just over two weeks (March 17-31) and organizers have announced the first wildcards.
Kei Nishikori, Caroline Wozniacki, Venus Williams and Emma Raducanu are the lucky ones.
At 43 years old, Venus Williams announced on her YouTube channel a few weeks ago that she wanted to play in Miami. It will be a done deal for the player who reached the final in Miami in 2010. For his part, Kei Nishikori, finalist at the US Open in 2014, will return to the courts. The Japanese player had not been seen on court since July 2023 and a quarterfinal loss at the Altanta tournament to Taylor Fritz.
The rest of the wild cards for the singles, doubles and qualifying draws will be announced in the coming weeks.
