Innovation, insight and fun: The Best of Tennis Majors in 2020
The year 2020 will be remembered for many reasons – notably the Coronavirus – but it also heralded the first year of Tennis Majors, and with it, an introduction to the innovation, insight and fun we hope you have all enjoyed.
From former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli never holding back in Match Points to tennis player-turned presenter Alize Lim interviewing some of the biggest stars in the sport, from expert tuition to in-depth analysis and a lot of laughter, 2020 has seen Tennis Majors bring you many memorable moments.
In Major Talk, Alize Lim conducted a number of fascinating interviews with some of the biggest names in tennis, from Bianca Andreescu to Stan Wawrinka, from Stefanos Tsitsipas to Venus Williams, with each of them revealing something a little special about themselves.

Star coach Patrick Mouratogou cast his expert eye over both the men’s and women’s Tours in the Eye of the Coach segments on Tennis Majors, offering his opinion on numerous players, from Naomi Osaka to Dominic Thiem, this year’s US Open champions.
In Raising a Champion, we learned what parents go through to help their children become a professional, a segment that included some revealing interviews with the parents of Coco Gauff and the mother of Holger Rune, two of the hottest young stars in the game.
Seb Proisy told us all we’d ever wanted to know about rackets, shoes and equipment, and more, in his Testing Equipment and Legendary Racquets features, where he showcased some of the old racquets, the newest shoes and the use of technology in tennis.
Mouratoglou also took the chance to show off his coaching credentials in The Coach and the Star, helping first American fitness trainer Shaun T and then legendary French DJ Bob Sinclar to hone their games under his tutelage.

Our talented team collated some of the Social Highlights from the social media world, from Roger Federer explaining the evolution of the SABR to Serena Williams sharing photos of her young daughter in lockdown, and Benoit Paire, Richard Gasquet and Gael Monfils sharing much laughter over old times during a Twitch chat.
Of course, 2020 was the debut for the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, when the world got to see a bit more of the personalities of some of the best players in the world, including Tsitsipas – The Greek God – and Paire, who lived up to his nickname of The Rebel.
And Jenny Drummond presented live every night from Paris in French Insider, the source of some great bloopers!
Enjoy and we’ll see you again in 2021!
