Monterrey Open: Noskova ousts Svitolina to make semi-finals
The 19-year-old Czech will face American Emma Navarro, the second seed, in the next round

Sixth seed Linda Noskova, of the Czech Republic, reached the semi-finals of the Monterrey Open by defeating Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 6-4 at Sonoma Club on Thursday.
Noskova, ranked No 35, will face American Emma Navarro, the second seed, next. This will be the first meeting on the tour between the two. It will also be the sixth career semi-final for the Czech teen.
The 19-year-old won against Kazakh qualifier Anna Danilina (6-0, 6-1) and Chinese Xiyu Wang (6-4, 7-6 (11)) earlier in the week.
In the previous round of the tournament, Svitolina, ranked No 28, beat Armenian Elina Avanesyan (6-4, 6-3).
